About Me

Sometimes the most difficult person to write about is yourself. In my case, it's the easiest.  Does that make me self-centered?

I created this blog in 2007 for family and friends to follow us as we traveled the world.  After two kids and half-dozen countries, I think I am finally getting the hang of this blogging thing. So, who are we?

Here's part of our story.  The rest can be found on the blog.
My husband, Jeff, and I were married in July 2001.  We soon moved from our home in Oklahoma to the foreign (and somewhat communist) country of Chicago, Illinois.  There, we learned about God.  In 2004, we returned to our native (and somewhat boring) roots to settle down, buy a house and start a family. In Tulsa, we learned the purpose of life.  We welcomed our first baby in September 2006, a beautiful little girl we named Chloe. In July 2007, we said goodbye to normalcy once again and headed for Chiang Mai, Thailand.  There, we learned about contentment.

2009 ushered in another host of changes for our little family. Our second baby girl, Ava, was born in Bangkok in January.  In April, we moved from Thailand and in November of that year we moved to Taiwan. I'm not sure yet what our time in Taiwan has taught me.  I suppose I am still on that lesson.
